Letto e riletto, ma non straletto, tant'è che ogni tre o quattro anni me lo riprendo, non si sa mai. Se qualcuno non lo conoscesse, è un capolavoro. Se poi si è appassionati di judaica e storia contemporanea come me, 5 stelle non basterebbero neanche. Il disgraziato Vladek racconta la sua personale storia di sopravvissuto al figlio, a sua volta sopravvissuto all'ombra del fratello mai conosciuto. Commovente oltre ogni limite perché autentico, geniale nella proposizione dei nazisti-gatti, ebrei-topi e americani-cani.

Read and read again, but never read enough. Every three or four years I read it again - you never know. For those who don't know this book, it's a masterpiece. And if you're passionate about judaica and contemporary history as I am, five stars wouldn't be enough. Wretched Vladek tells the story of his personal survival to his son Artie, who has himself always lived in the shadow Richieu, the brother he never met. Unbelievably touching because of its authenticity, and genius in its portrayal of cat-nazis, mouse-jews and dog-americans.
